I sell many major brands but consult with you on your unique situation.
So for those who follow my work I’m a big advocate and fan of infrared mats and pads for getting as much infrared exposure as easily as possible anytime anywhere.
I have reviewed every standalone infrared mat on the market and what is interesting is how easily overlooked this Solopad gets simply due to how popular the traditional wooden cabin Sunlighten saunas are.
In general Sunlighten markets a whole Solo System which includes this infrared mat and a igloo looking dome that covers the top side of your entire body up to your neck that you can lay down in. This is the same design as Clearlight Curve Dome however there are subtle differences between these two brand’s portable models.
You can also purchase and use either of these two components independently of one another (Dome or Pad.Mat)
The other major competitive brands of infrared mats on the market are: Biomat, Migun, Therasage, Vitamat, Clearlight Curve Pad.
What is interesting is if we review the other major mat brands based on efficacy/therapeutic outcomes that are proven in relation to the performance testing on their infrared output /emissivity, only this Solopad from Sunlighten actually proves its efficiency on wavelength production. 2 independent third party organizations validate the performance and claims. The infrared element in the pad and dome also have patents on them. No other standalone infrared mat makes reference in any way to the efficiency and emmissivity of their infrared mats and this is something I feel is very important to discuss and realize as a big factor in regards to the efficacy and therapeutic outcome of an infrared device regarding the dosage time of the user.
The other big factor related to health benefits achievable with infrared mats is the Wavelength. That is usually measured in microns or nanometers. That is also something that most infrared standalone mat brands never talk about. Why? It’s simple, these infrared mat companies and manufacturers haven’t invested the money and research and don’t think it’s worth it to educate the consumers on this. I’m not saying those other mats don’t have efficacy because they definitely do but I’m simply pointing out here that we can actually make conclusions about their therapeutic value and rank them based on their specs and lack thereof.
Just an important side not the actual proprietary carbon emitter in the Solopad is what is inside the dome. The dome was actually used in a few clinical research studies. To my knowledge only Biomat is the other infrared mat brand that has had research setting studies done. And if we were to look now at Biomat vs. Solopad, we would find that the proprietary carbon emitter in the Sunlighten Solopad outperforms the Biomat with efficiency emissivity ratings on the infrared.
It’s pretty simple to conceptually grasp that the emitters in the Solopad really were designed for warming up an entire cabon sauna and so have to output WAY more infrared to do so. The infrared emitting materials used in the Biomat were not designed also for warming up a sauna and so their output needed to only make it an inch at lower intensity levels as the person would be laying on top the mat.
